William FlissJ.R.R. Tolkien Manuscript Curator

An ardent Tolkien fan since childhood, William Fliss assumed his dream job as curator of Marquette University’s J. R. R. Tolkien manuscript collection in 2012. Since then, Fliss has taught classes at Marquette on Tolkien and assisted scholars in the archives researching Tolkien’s life and works. He has also collaborated on Tolkien Exhibitions in Oxford, New York, and Paris.

Richie Zaborowske is a librarian at the Neenah Public Library. As the parent of 2 young children, his lack of sleep has inspired some interesting library programs: Fortnite Fest featuring a dance contest, a screening of The Big Lebowski with a noted Lebowski PhD scholar, and the unconventional antics of Short Story Night. He uses humor and a unique perspective to engage patrons and to take traditional library programs to unexpected places.
